Historic Achievements at the Endurance Brasil Championship

The Endurance Brasil Championship witnessed a remarkable event at the Nelson Piquet International Autodrome in Brasília, where the AJR #128 team, driven by Sarin Carlesso and Matheus Morgatto, made headlines by clinching the very first pole position of the 2025 season. This qualifying session, held on Friday, marked the symbolic start of the final stage of the season, setting the stage for an exhilarating conclusion to the championship.

A Record-Breaking Performance

The duo from JLM Racing recorded an impressive average lap time of 1:43.805 during their qualifying run. Notably, Carlesso also achieved the fastest lap of the newly configured 5,321-meter circuit, clocking in at 1:43.461. This performance not only secured them the pole position but also signaled their readiness to compete fiercely in the upcoming race.

Title Contenders and Strategy

As the teams prepared for the final race, the focus shifted to the championship contenders. The trio of Gaetano di Mauro, Arthur Pavie, and Guilherme Koenigkan, driving the Ligier JS P320 #117, entered the race with a strategic advantage. With only a third-place finish needed to secure the title in the P1 class as well as the overall championship, their approach would be critical to their success. They secured the second position on the starting grid, placing them right alongside the pole-sitting AJR team.

In the second row of the grid, the competition was fierce, with two Ligier entries from Foresti Sports lining up to challenge for the top spots. Lucas Foresti, Victor Foresti, and Rafa Martins, along with Adriano Buzaid and Fernando Gorayeb, were set to put up a strong fight as they aimed for a podium finish that could shake up the championship standings.

Further down the grid, André Moraes Jr., Daniel Lancaster, and Flávio Abrunhoza in their Ligier JS P320 #22 were also in contention. Their strategy was straightforward: complete the race to secure the Legends Trophy, adding another layer of excitement to the contest.

The GT3 Category Showdown

In the GT3 category, Stuttgart Motorsport showcased the power of their Porsche 911 GT3 R, with Marçal Müller and Ricardo Maurício achieving the pole position. This duo, along with Marcel Visconde, had already claimed the championship title ahead of time, highlighting their dominance throughout the season. The Brasília stage attracted significant attention, with heavyweights like Guilherme Figueiroa and Júlio Campos in the Mercedes AMG GT3, as well as Marcelo Hahn, Chris Hahn, and Allam Khodair in the McLaren 720S, making their return to the championship.

The GT3 category was proving to be highly competitive, with every team eager to leave their mark in the final race of the season. The addition of top-tier drivers and teams promised an exhilarating showdown, and fans were eager to see how the championship would conclude.

Dominance in GT4

The GT4 category saw Rafa Brocchi continuing his exceptional form, maintaining a perfect record in qualifying sessions. During his third participation of the season, he secured his third consecutive pole position in the Mercedes AMG GT4, this time alongside newcomer Felipe Baptista. Their performance was indicative of GForce Autosport’s strength in the GT4 class.

As the battle for the vice-championship unfolded, Giuliano Bertuccelli and Enrico Pedrosa, who would be partnering with Luiz Landi, started the race from the fifth position. This placed them one spot ahead of their closest rivals, Marcelo Figueiredo, Márcio Kumruian, and Rogério Rodrigues, setting the stage for a tense and thrilling race.
