Absolutely! The excitement continues! Following the season opener in St. Petersburg and thrilling rounds at Thermal Club and Long Beach, the INDY SERIES is set to make its way to Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama from May 2 to May 4, 2025. This event marks the fourth round of the 2025 season. The Barber Motorsports Park features a 3,830-meter circuit with 15 challenging turns, creating an exhilarating experience for both drivers and fans with a total of 90 laps to complete. In the previous year’s race, Scott McLaughlin emerged victorious, with Will Power and Linus Lundqvist rounding out the top three. Following them were Felix Rosenqvist, Alex Palou, and Lundgaard, making up a competitive top six.
2025 Season Overview
In the last race held in Long Beach during the 2025 season, Kyle Kirkwood from Andretti Racing clinched the win! Starting from pole position, Kirkwood executed a solid pit-stop strategy and demonstrated impressive performance, successfully fending off any challenges from Alex Palou. Although Palou kept close to the leader for most of the race, he fell behind in the final laps, finishing second with a gap of over 2.5 seconds. Christian Lundgaard from McLaren completed the podium, overtaking Felix Rosenqvist in the closing laps. Will Power secured fifth place, while Scott McLaughlin finished sixth.
Currently, Alex Palou leads the championship standings with a considerable advantage, having accumulated 142 points. Kyle Kirkwood follows as the runner-up with 108 points, while Lundgaard holds 96 points. The top six is rounded out by Felix Rosenqvist with 88 points and Scott Dixon with 86 points. This year, fans can also look forward to the presence of INDY NXT, which will conduct its second race of the season. However, the USF PRO CHAMPIONSHIPS will only feature USF JUNIORS events. The USF2000 and USF PRO 2000 series will make their return later, from May 8 to May 10, 2025, in Indianapolis.
